Sebastian Meissner

Sebastian Meissner is Head of Certification Authority at EuroPriSe GmbH in Bonn/Germany. EuroPriSe GmbH operates the European Privacy Seal, a privacy seal scheme for the certification of IT products, IT-based services and websites which started in 2007 as a project funded by the European Commission. 

Prior to taking up this job, Sebastian worked at the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of the German federal state of Schleswig-Holstein (ULD) which led the EuroPriSe project consortium and operated the EuroPriSe seal scheme independently from 2009 until 2013. Sebastian was Deputy Head of the EuroPriSe department at ULD and represented the office at regular meetings of the Article 29 Working Party’s Technology Subgroup. Prior to this, he worked as a legal consultant on data protection matters at Lufthansa Systems Passenger Services GmbH.

Sebastian studied law at Goethe University Frankfurt on Main/Germany and is a fully qualified lawyer.
